Plot

The Zykom empire ruled by the tyrannical Count Blackor and his army of biomechanical beasts has spread to the planet Hypsos with the intention of dominating the entire system. In anticipation, the Troider army managed to set up a hidden marine base in Area 1, as well as an indestructible mothership and several shuttles throughout the enemy installations. Now, a team of brave Starwinger fighter pilots are preparing to infiltrate enemy territory to destroy the control base. To do this, they will have the most sophisticated combat system, an ingenuity based on six super space armors and known as SIX ON FIRE.

The Game

Six On Fire is an addictive vertical shmup game heavily influenced by classics games like Xevious, Terra Cresta, A.S.O., Slap Fight, Battle Squadron and SWIV. Visually, designed like an 90s arcade, it uses pixel art, but it goes further with carefully designed gameplay and area levels. The soundtrack consists of electronic music on the cover and ingame, but tense orchestral music in the Final Bosses. Each area is inspired by a specific classic arcade shmup containing different themed ground and air enemies, mid bosses, and amazing final boss. Be skillful, don't forget to strategically assemble the six power armors to succeed in the mission and be careful with the ground enemies around you!
